DUI Story

Joe's friends pleaded with him not to drive after he'd had so much to drink, but he refused. After all, he only lived a mile away. Not five blocks from the party, the police pulled him over. But just as he started to walk the line for his sobriety test, a call came in on the police radio: there was an armed robbery taking place just around the corner! "Stay right there! We'll be right back!" The cops hopped a backyard fence and headed for the robbery location on foot. Joe waited a little while and then decided to drive home. He stumbled in the house, told his wife he was heading to bed, and if anybody came looking for him, just tell them that he has the flu and has been in bed all day. A few hours later, the police knocked on their door. "Is Joe here?" "Yes. He's been in bed all day with the flu." "May we see his car, please?" "I suppose." So took them to the garage, opened the door, and there in the garage was their police car, its lights still flashing!
